The Baptist Foundation of NSW Limited (ABN: 31 000 871 821) is an agency of the Baptist Union of NSW and the ACT Acting as Trustee and Custodian Trustee, the Foundation administers investments for more than 30 Trusts and ensures that distributions are made in accordance with the terms of each Trust as specified by the donor.
Management is undertaken by a Board of Directors elected by the members. Membership for individuals costs $55 (in one donation or over 4 years) and, for churches $275 (in one donation or over 5 years). Member churches may appoint a representative to act as an individual member on their behalf.
How does the Baptist Foundation raise and use funds?
Income is obtained from Trust investments, and donations. Trusts provide funds for such purposes as: theological training locally and overseas, prizes, library books and scholarships for Morling College and its students, chaplaincy care, Global interAction, Baptist World Aid Australia and the Union. Grants have assisted Baptist pastors and missionaries to pursue postgraduate studies, aided people to develop skills for use in the service of the denomination in NSW and the ACT, and contributed to the costs of training of overseas pastors and mission staff.
